GIORGETTI REVEALS THE NEWEST CHAPTER IN ITS PLACES TO LIVE CAMPAIGN
A symbol of utopian engineering lives on as a stage for the Giorgetti collections: Villa Il Girasole
In the heart of the Venetian countryside, nestled amidst the hills of Marcellise, stands an icon of Italian Futurism: Villa Il Girasole. Built between 1929 and 1935, this engineering and architectural masterpiece arose from the vision of Angelo Invernizzi and Ettore Fagiuoli. A revolutionary home designed to rotate and follow the rhythm of the sun. Its machinery has been out of use for over 50 years, leaving it silent though still imbued with the innovative spirit which made it unique.
Villa Il Girasole is a project which elicits marvel and awe, probably because it is utopian and futuristic. A structure which demonstrates yet also conceals great engineering and ingenuity, in addition to creativity and imagination. At first glance, it looks like the invention—or dream—of a scientist. - Giancarlo Bosio, Creative Director of Giorgetti
This is the location which Giorgetti has chosen for the latest chapter in its Places to Live campaign: through a meticulous virtual renovation, a digital project with hyper-realistic images, Villa Il Girasole has been brought back to life as a stage for the brand’s 2025 furniture collections.
The star is the Giorgetti Maserati Edition collection, a journey amid legends and nature, an ode to the power of the winds and the fluidity of the sea. The sculptural Lorelei sofa envelops sitters in a seductive and comfortable embrace, while the Teti pouf is distinguished by the refined geometric accent inspired by the ‘point’ detail seen on Maseratis. The Ligea coffee tables reinterpret the shapes of automotive air vents with their sophisticated yet dynamic design. The Sibilia coffee table features a vertical element which amplifies sound, while the Neomeris carpet evokes the moving waves of a turbulent sea.
Villa Il Girasole is more than a backdrop to this collaboration: it embodies its vision. It’s a symbol of bold engineering and architecture, the courage to look to the future and the propensity for reinvention without losing one’s identity. Just as Villa Il Girasole challenged time and space, moving with the sun, Giorgetti continues to chart new courses, reinterpreting design with the same pioneering ambition which has always guided the brand.
This project is part of a broader visual narrative, chosen by Giorgetti to present its new products and revealed within the fifth issue of Giorgetti Magazine, the publishing branch of Giorgetti which has reached its fifth edition, in which words and contemporary images are combined.
Here, the colour palette of the 2025 collection is fused with the chromatic choices seen in Villa Il Girasole.
Over time, the jute-covered walls have taken on an intense amber tone, while the doors in walnut root and the floors in three different types of wood embellished by geometric motifs echo the bourgeois elegance of unmistakably Bauhaus aesthetics.
A journey between past and present, between human brilliance and nature, where every detail expresses the essence of Giorgetti.
