PROJECTS & STORIES | Quirinale contemporaneo
Giorgetti enters the palace of the Presidency of the Italian Republic with the Quirinale Contemporaneo project
A dynamic and symbolic place, a crossroads of essential moments in the life of the country. The Quirinale is an important historical and artistic asset, rich in extraordinary works.
Strongly desired by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella to celebrate Italian beauty, the Quirinale Contemporaneo project, in its three editions, 2019, 2020 and 2021, aims at updating the image of the institutional venues through the inclusion of relevant expressions of the genius and inspiration of Italian artists, from the birth of the Republic to the present day.
Giorgetti, with the Mobius armchairs designed by Umberto Asnago, plays a leading role in the project and enriches the Quirinale's heritage, narrating Italian manufacturing excellence and creativity.
Full elements and empty volumes alternate with great elegance in the Mobius armchairs, which reinterpret a furnishing and design classic in a contemporary key. The visible structure of the legs in Canaletto walnut takes on a stylistic value; the seat becomes lighter and its design is enhanced by a precious tailoring intervention. In leather or fabric, Mobius encapsulates 120 years of Giorgetti's manufacturing excellence, interpreting the designers' creative thinking to create timeless and always contemporary furnishing objects.
In the elegant ruby leather finish, the two Giorgetti chairs furnish the classic atmosphere of one of the Louis XIV style rooms of the presidential palace.
